Job Description
Mercy Hospital Fort Smith is undergoing a significant expansion of its Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The ED will increase from 29 to 50 rooms, and the ICU will grow from 38 to 64 rooms, enabling approximately 25,000 additional patient visits per year.

Job Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
- Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care.
- Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
- Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
- Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Licensure:
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion within 30 days of hire.
