Medical Surgical ICU - FT Nights

MSICU is a 36 bed unit that provides comprehensive and compassionate care for a variety of critically ill adult patients who require advanced and specialized nursing care. Patients in the MSICU have a multitude of disease processes and co-morbidities including sepsis/septic shock, respiratory distress syndrome/respiratory failure requiring ventilation, post cardiac arrest, endocrine emergencies, multisystem organ failure, labor and delivery hemorrhages and everything in between. This is a great opportunity for an RN seeking a challenge as you will get to see new things each day!
M/S ICU is one of the few ICUs that still uses 1:1 nursing for our more critically acute disease processes. Mercy will support YOU toward specialty certifications, including CCRN and CRT. This is a GREAT opportunity if you aspire to excel in Critical Care or pathway as a Nurse Anesthetist.
Available Shifts (Three 12s): Full-Time, Nights (7:00pm-7:30am)
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Physical requirements/demands:
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
