                       About our Unit - ICU Stepdown - TCU

The TCU provides care to acutely ill patients that are not quite to the point of needing ICU or just removed from ICU status. The TCU is very fast paced and requires good critical thinking skills, which allows for a great learning environment for new nurses to our team. What ties us together so well is the great teamwork and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: current RN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days 
• Preferred Experience:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of critical care experience 
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or can be obtained within 90 days
  • NOTE:  one or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe
