Exciting New Incentives:
Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.
Overview:
The Ultrasound Supervisor oversees the daily activities of an imaging department, ensuring the smooth operation of diagnostic imaging services. This role involves mentoring and training an imaging team, managing schedules and timecards, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The Supervisor-Ultrasound must also maintain a focus on quality control and patient safety, ensuring that all imaging procedures are performed with the utmost attention to detail and precision. Responsibilities also include a strong commitment to patient care and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography.
Experience: Five (5) years' relevant imaging experience.
Certifications: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS).
Preferred Experience: One (1) year supervisory experience.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills and Abilities: Ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of ultrasound technologists to maintain high standards of performance and professionalism. Strong knowledge and understanding of ultrasound equipment and imaging techniques. Ability to troubleshoot and ensure proper equipment functionality. Ability to provide training to new staff and offer continuous education on new technologies, protocols, and best practices. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Competency in respective modality.
Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
