What are the responsibilities and job description for the TeleQuality Nurse position at Mercy?
Position Overview:
- The Registered Nurse (RN) provides quality support and data collection for critically ill ICU/stepdown unit patients across multiple hospitals.
- Assesses and collaborates with TeleICU personnel and the bedside team via audio/video connections to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients, discussing issues with physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Promotes patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
- This is a night shift position, working from 6:30 PM to 6 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing best practices and evidence-based protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize advanced technology, including EPIC, to collect and analyze patient data.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care activities.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and new technologies.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Current RN licensure in Missouri, with multi-state licensure required within 6 months of hire.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years recent adult medical-surgical nursing experience, with 5 years or more preferred.
- Certifications: BLS certification required.
- Preferred Education: BSN degree preferred.
