Overview: Assures the delivery of safe, quality and cost-efficient care by competent staff members in Mercy Hospital and other designated unit(s) at Mercy Hospital. Insures efficient utilization of available resources and meets productivity and/or financial goals. Meets customer satisfaction goals. Works collaboratively and effectively with other administrative personnel, physicians, and staff from other areas throughout the Health System to enhance communication, share pertinent data, and improve processes across the continuum. Performs related duties as assigned. Member of Nursing Council, Patient Satisfaction Committee, Pain Management and Medical Safety. Works with department leaders to oversee the recruitment of staff for designated departments. Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Administrative Operating Officer.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Five years' experience in a hospital setting, required.
Previous management/leadership experience is required.
- Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN required and Master's Degree in health-related field.
- Preferred Education: Master's Degree.
- Certifications/License: Current RN licensure in good standing with State Board of Nursing in applicable state of practice or current RN temporary nursing license in applicable state of practice. CPR
- Other: Demonstrates skills in human relations and communication, both written and verbal. Demonstrates clinical expertise in patient care delivery. Possesses the ability to assess data and assist personnel in providing appropriate level of care.
