The Mental Health Tech, under the supervision of the Team leader/Manager, and the Nurse Practitioner Unit Supervisor, provides group and individual behavioral interventions to patients a Behavioral Health setting. This role includes the following duties and actively supports the mission statement of Mercy Behavioral Health. May include day and evening hours.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Collects patient data and documents in the medical record.
• Assists therapist with group management and behavioral interventions.
• Provides patient treatments as ordered.
• Documents care provided in the medical record.
• Observes patients and reports behaviors or treatment concerns to the therapist, Nurse Practitioner or Team Lead/Manager.
• Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.
• Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.
• Assists with cleaning and organizing the programming rooms.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in relevant Behavioral health field.
Or: minimum of 5 years of experience working with children.
Certification and Licensure
TACT within 90 days
CPR within 90 days
