Nurse Practitioner Urgent Care

Overview

Mercyhealth, an award-winning fully integrated health care delivery organization based in Wisconsin and Illinois, is seeking Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our Urgent Care team at Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center – Crystal Lake.   

Opportunity:

• Collaborate with experienced Emergency Medicine physicians and have the full support of an excellent team of RNs and support staff
• Work three 12-hour shifts (8am-8p)
• Holiday rotation and two weekends a month coverage
• Urgent care patients

Qualifications:

• Ability to work well independently and under pressure.
• Strong communication/interpretive and analytical skills.
• A high level of independent judgment and ability to handle empowerment for independent action.
• Ability to pass an Illinois Health Care Workers Background Check

Certification/Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
• Current IL PA or NP License
• Current DEA number and IL CS
• ATLS certification
• Other certifications as required

There are two Metra train stations located in Crystal Lake, which provide service to Chicago along the Union Pacific Northwest line. O’Hare International Airport, Chicago-Rockford International Airport, Chicago Midway International Airport, or General Mitchell International Airport are all options for air travelers. Additionally, private and commercial chartered flights are available through the Lake in the Hills Airport.
