The Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies works closely with senior faculty to ensure the program meets and exceeds the Accreditation Standards set forth by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) while preparing physician assistant students to be leaders in the profession, proficient in meeting the challenges of healthcare, and provide compassionate, quality care to the diverse communities in which they serve and participates in on-going program assessment and evaluation, advising, and departmental committee work. Responsibilities include assisting the Clinical Director with oversight of all aspects of clinical education; coordinating and monitoring clinical rotation sites and schedules; participating in recruitment, development, and retention of clinical sites and preceptors; establishing affiliation agreements with new clinical sites; developing, implementing, and assessing of academic performance evaluations within the clinical phase; and participating in all callback days for clinical students.
