At MercyOne Center, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team in Mason City, Iowa. This 12-month contract position offers the opportunity to work as a valuable member of our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care and supporting the well-being of our patients and their families.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced RN who is passionate about delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Provide direct patient care to patients presenting to the emergency department, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet urgent needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including consulting with specialists and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. We also require certification in BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS, which will be verified within 30 days of start date.
