Emergency Department RN Position

MercyOne Center is seeking a skilled and caring Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team in Mason City, Iowa. This 12-month contract position offers the chance to work as a vital part of our healthcare team, delivering top-notch patient care and supporting the health and wellbeing of our patients and their loved ones.

About the Opportunity

We are searching for an accomplished RN who is committed to providing first-class care in a busy environment. As an emergency department RN, you will be responsible for evaluating patient needs, creating personalized care plans, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient handovers.

• Deliver hands-on patient care to patients presenting to the emergency department, using effective time management skills to address pressing needs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including consulting with specialists and ordering diagnostic tests.
• Prepare and maintain precise, up-to-date records of patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work efficiently in a team setting, and have a dedication to delivering outstanding patient care. We also require certification in BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS, which will be verified within 30 days of start date.
