Description:
The purpose of this position is to provide instruction for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Essential Functions
- Provides teaching and guidance to students taking ACLS and/or PALS courses.
- Ensures classroom and supplies are prepared for class.
- Follows teaching criteria outlined by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Certified ACLS and or PALS provider.
- Current ACLS or PALS Instructor certifications or the ability to obtain with in 3 months of hire.
- Ability to teach at a minimum of 1 class per month.
- Ability to attend an annual, mandatory skills training/maintenance and sign-off session.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
