Position Title: Coord, Storeroom CPID:
Department: Materials Services
Purpose: Maintains supply inventories and provides supply/equipment receiving, coordinates distribution, and transportation services to designated facilities. Functions as the primary contact between Materials Management and Hospital based staff. Key accountabilities include inventory control of supplies at designated facilities or unites, order stock and non-stock supplies, maintain storeroom and receiving areas according to department standards, oversee delivery of supplies/equipment in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Report To: Manager, Logistics
Supervisory Responsibility: Direction: The job requires some accountability for scheduling, assigning or coordinating work. Employees check the quality of work and provide guidance, instruction, training and direction to others. Although the job does not require formal or official supervisory responsibility, the incumbent serves as group leader or acts in an informal "assistant supervisory" or "lead" role. In addition, the employee may be expected to provide information or suggestions on human resources matters.
Materials Responsibility: Moderate: Work requires moderate responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include operating budgets for a work unit or department, specialized equipment, costly or unusual materials or supplies, large amounts of cash or other material assets. The employee has a moderate amount of control over these resources. The cost of errors might result in moderate damage, waste or financial loss. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education: High school graduation or equivalent
Special Training: Word processing, spreadsheet and database experience. Storeroom and receiving procedures experience.
Experience: More than 1 year experience required.
Interpersonal Skills: Interaction is with a variety of people inside or outside the organization. Communications are of moderate difficulty and sensitivity. Contact with others may involve detailed & lengthy dialogues & exchanges of information. Requires a moderate amount of interpersonal skills. Interactions involve dealing with moderately complicated problem
Working Condition: There is limited exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Some undesirable or unpleasant environmental characteristics may occur but the physical environment is generally safe and there is minimal health risk. No safety equipment or unusual precautions are required. The occasional exposure to these minor adverse conditions
