As an EMT-B/ED Tech at MercyOne, you will provide the practice and delivery of safe, effective, ethical and culturally competent emergency care to patients of all ages in emergency situations who require stabilization and/or resuscitation as a result of illness or injury. Key accountabilities include fostering interdisciplinary collaborative relationships; making decisions in patient care/triage; ensure smooth shift operations; facilitate a seamless transition for the next shift that includes exchange of essential information; promote evidence-based practice through conduct of practice research. Performs technical procedures according to GMC DeWitt Ambulance protocols and function within their Scope of Practice in accordance with the Iowa Department of Public Health, Bureau of EMS.

- Licensure/Registration: Certified EMT-Basic in the state of Iowa; Valid Drivers License
- Training Preferred: The Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS), Emergency Vehicle Operators Course, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support or International Trauma Life Support
- Special Training: Basic Life Support
- Less than 1 year experience required.
- High school plus additional course work up to 1 year
- Field Of Study: Emergency Medicine
