The emergency department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with board certified physicians and advanced level practitioners who are well-trained to treat emergency needs. MercyOne Elkader Medical Center is certified as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Iowa Department of Public Health.

As a Foundation Administrative Assistant Elkader at MercyOne, you will Supports the MercyOne Elkader hospital administrator and staff in the promotion and execution of the management of the Central Community Hospital Foundation. Performs varied administrative support, office management and project management for a successful Foundation. Coordinates and assists the board with annual campaigns, special events, data entry, direct mailings, and fundraising events. Provides administrative support to advance opportunities for the development, establishment, and maintenance of comprehensive fund development programs for Central Community Hospital Foundation.

- Monday – Friday; Flexible
- Experience and/or education in the health care field are highly desirable, specifically in fund development.
- Bookkeeping or knowledge of accounting principles desirable. Knowledge of business terminology.
- Experience with USPS bulk mailing policies and procedures helpful.
- High school education required.
- Associate’s degree or 2 years of college preferred. Experience may be substituted.
