As an Occupational Therapist at MercyOne, you will Plans, administers, implements, and evaluates occupational therapy for all appropriate programs and services within the PM&R department, for all patient age groups. Schedule
- Inpatient works 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Outpatient varies based on the clinic, but these coverage dates would be pre-scheduled. Would be mainly Dubuque coverage
- Every 6th weekend (Saturday only)
- 1-2 holidays per year which includes associated holiday weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Must be able to function as an occupational therapist in all commonly practiced aspects of patient evaluation and treatment appropriate for the assigned age group.
- Must have ability to give clear instructions to individuals and groups ranging from infant to geriatric.
- Must have ability to plan day-to-day activities and work independently.
- Must be able to put patients at ease and make them comfortable.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively work with other hospital employees and guests.
- Must demonstrate the ability to interact with others in a helpful and courteous manner.
- Must be competent in providing clinical care to the patient population described in the department’s description of services section of the policy manual.
- Demonstrates and promotes customer satisfaction.
- Registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NCBOT)
- Bachelor’s Degree Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
