What you will do:
- Provides pharmaceutical care to patients assigned by actively monitoring drug therapy, providing interventions and performing consults for all assigned patients.
- Promotes professionalism and strives to raise the level of professional practice.
- Responds to drug information questions.
- Provides medication teaching to patients and families as appropriate.
- Documents in the patient’s medical record all pertinent information, including but not limited to progress notes, consultations.
- Provides pharmacokinetic dosing and recommendations as appropriate.
- Monitor parenteral nutrition and provide recommendations as appropriate.
- Participates in on-call responsibilities as required.
- Attends in-services, grand rounds, and teleconferences as directed by preceptor.
- Prepares and presents case presentations as required.
- Prepare and present lectures at Drake University as assigned.
- Pharmacy degree (BS or Pharm.D.) from an ACPE approved College of Pharmacy.
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa.
