Crew Leader / Groundskeeper
Hourly Rate: $24 per hour (Seasonal)

Job Summary:
The Crew Leader is responsible for leading a 4-person Grounds Crews assigned to maintain a 9-hole golf course and a driving range. They ensure daily maintenance tasks are executed efficiently, oversee equipment operation, and communicate course conditions to the Superintendent. The Crew Leader play a key role in turf health monitoring, course setup, and irrigation maintenance while assisting in weekly reporting to the Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a 4-person Grounds Crew responsible for maintaining 9-hole golf course.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure completion of mowing, bunker maintenance, course setup, and landscaping.
- Operate and train crew members on the use of heavy equipment, including fairway mowers, aerators, and tractors.
- Conduct daily turf inspections and report concerns (disease, pests, irrigation issues) to the Superintendent.
- Provide information for weekly verbal reports to your supervising superintendent and assistant superintendent, covering turf conditions, crew performance, and project updates.
- Perform and oversee irrigation troubleshooting, minor repairs, and moisture management.
- Ensure all crew members follow safety protocols and proper equipment operation procedures.
- Communicate daily course needs or concerns to the Superintendent in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating golf course maintenance equipment, including mowers, aerators, and sprayers.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of golf course maintenance practices, including irrigation troubleshooting and turf care.
- Ability to train and mentor grounds crew members.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and early morning hours.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
