Groundskeeper
Hourly Rate: $21 per hour (Seasonal Apr. - November)

Reports To: Crew Leader, Superintendent
Job Summary:
Groundskeepers are responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of the golf course, ensuring optimal playing conditions and aesthetics. Each Groundskeeper is assigned to a 4-person Grounds Crew under the direction of a Crew Leader, responsible for the maintenance of a 9-hole golf course and driving range. This role requires prior experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, or farming, as well as proficiency in operating golf course maintenance equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily mowing of fairways, greens, roughs, and tee boxes using specialized golf course equipment.
- Rake and maintain bunkers, edge cart paths, and assist with general landscape detailing.
- Operate golf course maintenance equipment, including greens mowers, fairway mowers, utility vehicles, and other turf care machinery.
- Assist in irrigation system maintenance, including troubleshooting minor issues and performing hand-watering as needed.
- Support fertilization applications, aeration, topdressing, and other turf health practices.
- Participate in course improvement projects, including sod replacement, drainage work, and bunker renovations.
- Follow directions from the Crew Leader and Superintendent to execute daily tasks efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper equipment operation procedures.
- Report any turf health concerns, irrigation issues, or equipment malfunctions to the Crew Leader.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working at a golf course is required OR significant experience in landscaping or farming.
- Proficiency in operating golf course maintenance equipment, such as mowers, aerators, and utility vehicles.
- Strong understanding of golf course maintenance practices and basic irrigation principles.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and early morning hours.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
