What’s the job?
Scope of the position:
- Provide Quality Assurance expertise to the Quality department to ensure the Quality System is of the highest standard.
- Safeguard the quality of all products produced through NCR/ CAPA and complaint investigations to ensure all customer & regulatory requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Customer Quality Contact for automotive and industrial customers.
- Work together with the new product development team to introduce new products which meet customer requirements and as well managing changes to existing products in accordance with quality management system
- Complete PPAP & APQP activities in line with customer requirements.
- Carry out 8D problem solving to resolve customer complaints.
- Co-ordinate FMEA’s and other preventative tools within the plant as part of the new product introduction process.
- Drive and co-ordinate multi-disciplinary teams on Continuous Improvement activities within the company.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 4 yrs. experience in manufacturing with direct experience in quality system compliance.
- A 4-yr engineering degree or substitute experience; graduate degree in engineering, technical or management discipline is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and other technical documents. Understanding of ANSI/ISO drawing standards and GD&T dimensioning required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of IATF 16949 standard including core tools such as APQP, SPC, PFMEA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to be a great team player
