Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise API Architect with 15 years of experience who can lead the design and implementation of Enterprise API strategy. Candidate should have a strong technical background, the ability to build and mentor teams, deep expertise in API management tools such as Apigee / Mulesoft etc., with excellent communication skills to present solutions to customers effectively. This position is open for US / Colombia locations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
o Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing API development and integration team.
o Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
Integration Expertise
o Understand the complexities of system integrations, including APIs, middleware, and legacy systems.
o Provide robust solutions for enterprise integration scenarios, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
API Strategy and Architecture
o Define the API strategy and roadmap, aligning with enterprise goals and customer requirements.
o Design and implement scalable, reusable, and secure API architectures using modern tools and frameworks.
Tool Expertise
o Leverage extensive expertise in any API management platforms like Apigee, MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway, or others.
o Stay updated with the latest trends and tools to enhance the API ecosystem.
Customer Engagement
o Effectively present API solutions and integration strategies to customers, ensuring alignment with their business needs.
o Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, provide recommendations, and deliver tailored API solutions.
Security and Compliance
o Implement API security best practices, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, and API gateway policies.
o Ensure compliance with regional regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
Documentation and Enablement
o Oversee the creation of API documentation, SDKs, and developer guides for internal and external stakeholders.
o Conduct training sessions and workshops for teams and customers.
Performance and Monitoring
o Establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure API reliability and performance.
o Optimize API solutions for high availability and minimal latency.
Innovation and Thought Leadership
o Drive innovation by adopting new technologies and integration patterns.
