Summary
This role provides support in all areas of procurement for the plant and participates in the company’s global procurement strategy. The position reports directly to the Director of Procurement.
Education & Experience
Understanding of the role and importance of sustainability initiatives in manufacturing.
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience using NetSuite is strongly preferred but not required.
Demonstrated experience using an ERP or ordering system is required.
Working knowledge of accounts payable functions.
Job Responsibilities
Gather data from vendors regarding sustainability initiatives, including carbon footprint, resource management, and ethical sourcing practices.
Monitor vendor compliance with sustainability standards and company guidelines.
Assist in vendor reporting and scorecarding processes.
Issue purchase orders for warehouse/factory consumables, office/breakroom supplies, and general plant needs.
Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure invoicing and receipts are accurate and resolve discrepancies with minimal business impact.
Work with vendors, QA, and accounting to handle returns and credits.
Interact with the Inventory Control Team and Receiving to assess plant needs.
Utilize NetSuite to adjust POs and receipts and generate schedules and reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
