**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our medical office team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office, with a strong understanding of medical scheduling and office management. This role is a critical part of our office, requiring a warm and welcoming demeanor to interact with patients. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience, from check-in to check-out, and will play a vital role in maintaining the overall efficiency and smooth operation of the office.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet and check-in/check-out patients, obtain their medical information and prepare them for their appointments
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain an organized and up-to-date schedule
- Manage patient records, including updating patient information and maintaining confidentiality
- Utilize medical office management systems, including optometric clinic software and electronic health records
- Answer and direct optical phone calls, responding to patient inquiries and addressing any concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including the front desk and waiting room
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, including technicians, doctors and optical sales
- Handle administrative tasks, such as filing and copying, as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction and loyalty
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
-Assist in optical sales in helping patients pick out glasses, understanding & explaining their benefits, taking optical measurements and inputting sales
**Experience:**
- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist in a medical office
- Proficiency in medical office management systems, including electronic health records
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
-Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
