The COTA is responsible for implementing treatment programs established by the Occupational Therapist in accordance with all state and federal regulations. The COTA will collaborate with facility staff to promote the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being for the residents.
Skills and Abilities

- Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates excellent inter-personal skills and teamwork.
- Assist in addressing patient needs, plans for, and modifies care to meet goals of Occupational Therapy Interventions as outlined by the Plan of Care.
- Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
- Instructs and educates patient/family/caregivers on patient's occupational therapy program.
- Other COTA duties as assigned.
- Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) will hold licensure as outlined by the Board of Occupational Therapy in the employment state.
