What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account clerk position at Meriden Public Schools?

DESCRIPTION :

The account clerk is responsible for processing, receiving, and paying purchase orders, requesting tax information from vendors, working as a team to prepare and reconcile monthly reports as needed, updating all physical vendor files at the end of the fiscal year, ordering office supplies including those for copiers and printers, preparing correspondence as requested, preparing financial reports and processing mail.

QUALIFICATIONS :

The successful candidate must have good interpersonal, communication skills, both oral and written, which will enable the employee to interact with all levels of school personnel, and vendors.

Computer sills are essential. The preferred candidate should have familiarity with Excel, Word, Outlook and be capable of learning the financial software (Naviline) used by the district.
