Process Engineer
The Process Engineer provides daily support to the production team through monitoring of batches, inventory, and compliance. The Process Engineer performs daily production duties and helps create/track plant metrics to support the sites goal of continuous improvement. This position will support development and implementation of all large CAPEX projects for the facility and other facilities within the packaging division. Employee is also the primary responsible person to report site compliance information required by the Ohio EPA and to conduct safety trainings for all site employees.

Process Engineer

Primary Job Functions Including But Not Limited To
- Monthly safety training for facility
- Report compliance data to state and federal EPA to maintain compliance (Waste Water, NPDES, Tier II, TRI)
- File monthly eDMR reports
- Participate in Meridian weekly safety meetings
- Work side-by-side with the site leader to introduce and promote Meridian platform safety standards
- Participate in safety committee to help implement improvements and be proactive against safety findings
- Participate in daily production activities including, but not limited to, closing of batch tickets, printing of labels, utilize MRP
- Investigate inventory discrepancies as needed
- Work side-by-side with site leader to use data and other tools to review opportunities for continuous improvement
- Gather and present data to assist in plant metrics tracking – OEE, OTIF, Customer Complaints, etc
- Supervise and manage product returns and reclassification
- Review inventory aging and determine product disposition with sales and technical team
- Work alongside Site Leader and Maintenance personnel on CAPEX projects
- Act as back-up to Site Leader and Site Leader Duties
- Act as back-up to production scheduling and raw material purchasing as needed
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Ability to interact well with internal and external customers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient use of computer systems and software applications.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Engineering highly preferred or at least an Associates Degree with five or more years of related work experience is required.
- 3 years of chemical manufacturing, batch processing or adhesive manufacturing, preferred
