Alumni Coordinator
Compensation : $19 - $22.33
Shift : Mon-Friday 8am - 5pm 1 Saturday a month
Job purpose
This is a critical role in building a vibrant, active and engaged Alumni community. This person will be responsible for administrative support and program management. The Alumni Coordinator will be focused on working with a cross-functional team including marketing, the treatment director, and discharge planning leveraging the team’s experience and industry best-practices in the development and execution of an Alumni program. The positions scope of responsibilities will include but not be limited to program development and management, discharge planning, database development and management, Alumni inquiries and communications, and event planning and coordination.
Duties and responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Work closely with the Marketing department, Treatment Director and Discharge Planning leveraging best practices to develop and launch an Alumni program.
Serves as front-line resource for Alumni inquiries and manages coordination and contact with Alumnus.
Manages Alumni database
Plans, coordinates and provides logistical support for Alumni events
Engages and coordinates speakers for Alumni events / meetings
Works with discharge planning to coordinate and connect recent “graduates” with recovery oriented meetings, groups and support
Assists in publishing quarterly Alumni newsletter, maintains and updates mailing and email lists and Alumni database
Active in the recovery community
Qualifications
Education : High School diploma or equivalent
1 year or more experience with event planning preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Required Skills, Knowledge and Ability
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain timelines, budgets and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Experience maintaining a database preferred
Other skills : ability to multi-task and ensure expectations are consistently exceeded; ability to build and maintain timelines, budgets, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
- Hearing Ability to hear staff, incoming calls, and callers.
- Vision Ability to see computer screen and written charts to document outcomes and obtain data.
- Speaking Ability to speak to staff and external customers.
- Sitting Approximately 5-6 hours per day.
- Standing Approximately 1-2 hours per day.
