- Work closely with the VP, Medical Management to ensure CMA coverage and patient process flow, according to Policy and Procedure in all outpatient clinics.
- Provide patient care in the community mental health clinic setting under the direct responsibility of a licensed physician.
- Perform all duties of the Medical Assistant and functions as the resource person to the Certified Medical Assistants; clinical skills performed are within the scope of a Medical Assistant as defined by Florida Statues 458.3485, and Meridian Policy and Procedure.
- Act as a liaison between management, staff and the individuals we serve.
- The CMA Supervisor may also perform clerical, insurance and medical record functions.
- May be required to float to other clinics as needed for staffing. Reliable, personal transportation is a requirement of this position as is the willingness to travel to a different location with little notice for coverage purposes.
- The CMA Supervisor should display initiative, have the ability to multitask and be able to assume additional responsibilities.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and be a team member is essential.
- Must possess and current certification as a Medial Assistant.
Who are we looking for?
- Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited course of study as a Medical Office Assistant and have proof of certification as a Medical Assistant or possess the equivalent knowledge and skills base by having completed/graduated from similar types of formal medical training such as a formal medical services training program offered by the United States Armed Services.
- Candidate must obtain certification as a Medical Assistant within 6 months of hire if he/she qualified under the formal medical services training program noted above.
- One year of direct patient care experience in an outpatient medical health setting is required.
Drivers Requirement:
Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements.
