Summary:
The ArcGIS Administrator II is responsible for configuring ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro for internal use and helping implementation and support teams whenever needed. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python and ArcPy scripting, as well as proficiency in PowerShell for automation. Strong problem-solving skills and experience in GIS infrastructure management are essential.
Responsibilities:
- ArcGIS Enterprise Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot ArcGIS Enterprise deployments. Monitor and optimize the performance of ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Data Store.
- ArcGIS Pro Administration: Support users and troubleshoot issues related to ArcGIS Pro. Implement best practices for deploying and maintaining ArcGIS Pro in an enterprise setting.
- Develop and maintain Arcade scripts for custom visualizations and analyses in ArcGIS Pro and web applications.
- Create, maintain, and execute Python scripts using ArcPy for automation of geoprocessing tasks.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation of administrative tasks related to ArcGIS Enterprise and other system components.
- Develop scripts to streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring of GIS infrastructure.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree; equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis. Master’s Degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting ArcGIS Enterprise.
- 3-5 years of experience working with ArcGIS Pro.
- In-depth knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise architecture and components (ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Data Store).
- Proven experience with Arcade scripting for custom GIS solutions.
- Hands-on experience with ArcPy for geoprocessing and automation.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for GIS-related tasks.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for system administration and automation.
- Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and their integration with ArcGIS.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex GIS issues in a timely manner.
- Experience with GIS web services, including REST and SOAP APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Paid Time Off: Eligible to begin accrual from date of hire; accrual amount based on years of service. Beginning accrual rate equivalent to 22 days per year. 10 holidays which include the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve. Up to 240 hours of PTO can roll over to the following year.
- Volunteer Time: 8 hours per year
- Retirement: Robust 401K. Following one year of eligible service, the Company contributes in two ways: (1) match of 100% of each dollar you contribute on the first five percent (5%) of eligible compensation, and (2) Employer basic contribution of 4% of base salary (with increases in basic contribution percentage based on years of service). Employees are 100% vested in Company funded contributions from the date they enter the plan.
