Responsibilities:
- Conduct cardiopulmonary diagnostic tests to aid diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Administer clinical care, including aerosol medications, breathing exercises, dyspnea management, therapeutic exercises, psychosocial assessments, and assistive technologies.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, cardiopulmonary health, and medication compliance.
- Document accurate and complete clinical information in patient records and billing documents.
- Accurately complete billing records for diagnostic and rehabilitative therapy procedures.
- Communicate patient assessment updates with healthcare team members and referring physicians.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills for productive collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare teams.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety management and infection control protocols.
- Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic and rehabilitative therapy services.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree from a Committee on Accreditation of Respiratory Care (COARC) approved program.
- Graduate from an approved Nursing program.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Licensed to practice respiratory therapy or nursing by the state board of professional regulation.
- National certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) registration preferred or Registered Nurse (RN) registration.
