Job Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic cardiopulmonary evaluations and therapy treatments for patients with deficiencies and dysfunctions of the cardiopulmonary system.
- Administer clinical care, including aerosol medications, breathing exercises, and therapeutic exercises.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, cardiopulmonary health, and medication compliance.
- Document accurate and complete clinical information in patient medical records and billing documents.
- Communicate assessments and updates on patient Plan of Care (POC) with healthcare team members and referring physicians.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with safety management and infection control procedures.
- Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic and rehabilitative therapy services.
Requirements:
- Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science graduate from a Committee on Accreditation of Respiratory Care (COARC) approved program of respiratory care.
- Minimum of national certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC is preferred or registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
