Job Description:
Meridian Laboratory is seeking a technician in the company’s environmental laboratory. Responsibilities include performing analytical testing such as endotoxins, TPC (total plate counts), and analytical testing using an IC and ICP-MS. This position requires thorough documentation skills, a team-based work ethic, and a bachelor’s degree in a science field. Experience using an ICP-MS is a plus.
Job functions:
· Ability to analyze, prioritize, multitask assignments, and problem-solve
· Ability to prepare samples using manual, automated, and instrumental methods utilizing in-house Standard Operating Procedures
· Preparation of reagents or standards as needed
· Maintain an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables required for testing
· Maintain analyzers according to manufacturers’ specifications and record all maintenance and corrective action.
· Prepare and maintain required documentation
· Meet turn-around-time (TAT) goals
· Work independently
· Ability to use LIMS and other computer software
· Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
· Organizational skills
· Willingness to cross train in the medical reference lab on a limited basis
· Pleasant disposition
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a science field
Experience in an analytical laboratory with ICP-MS experience would be preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
