LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE FOREMAN

Role Overview:
The Landscape Maintenance Foreman is responsible for supervising and directing a crew to efficiently and safely complete all landscape maintenance projects on time and according to customer specifications and company standards. The candidate must have excellent leadership and communication skills, possess a valid Nevada Driver’s License with a clean driving record, and adhere to the company’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy. The Foreman will report directly to Field Management and Administrative Staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are strictly followed by all crew members at all times.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce safety measures on-site.
• Communication & Reporting:
• Maintain Company-issued phones and devices in working order and accessible during shifts.
• Accurately complete and submit all forms, reports, and timesheets for assigned projects, daily.
• Prepare and plan for the next workday at the end of each current workday.
• Report project progress, site challenges, and material or equipment needs to Supervisors and Administrative Staff.
• Crew Management:
• Supervise, train, and lead a team of crew members to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
• Assign duties and responsibilities to team members based on project requirements and crew strengths.
• Provide constructive feedback and address performance issues as needed.
• Project Execution:
• Complete assigned projects on-time and on schedule.
• Review both customer and company scopes of work to ensure work completed meets customer expectations.
• Oversee the maintenance functions performed by crew and ensure all customer and company expectations are being met safely and on-time.
• Ensure proper site preparation, including excavation, grading, and material staging.
• Perform quality inspections of finished work to ensure compliance with company specifications and customer expectations.
• Equipment & Material Management:
• Maintain responsibility for all Company-provided equipment, vehicles, and tools assigned to the crew.
• Conduct regular inspections of and perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Manage and track materials and supplies for projects, ensuring timely availability and usage.
• Site Coordination & Problem Solving:
• Address unforeseen challenges on-site and communicate solutions to Management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot irrigation systems, property and plant, tree, and turf issues to provide solutions.
• Worksite Procedures:
• Ensure proper cleanup of job sites, including debris removal and securing of tools and equipment.
• Verify project completion and obtain client or management approval before leaving the site.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance, with leadership or foreman experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of proper pruning practices, irrigation timer setting and troubleshooting, proper mowing, fertilization practices, hazard and clearance pruning for trees, and minor repairs to irrigation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret both company and customer scopes of work, property reports, site maps.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Proficiency in completing accurate documentation and reports.
• Must hold a valid Nevada Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Work Environment:
The role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, frequent lifting and carrying of tools or equipment, and consistent interaction with crew members and Management to ensure high-quality construction.

Reports To: Field Management and Administrative Staff

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
