What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Technician position at Meridian Management?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Performs basic office cleaning procedures, office through cleaning procedures, basic restroom cleaning procedures, restroom periodic and troubleshooting procedures, elevator cleaning procedures, and stairwell cleaning procedures.
2 Perform carpet spotting procedures, rotary brush carpet shampooing, basic hard floor maintenance procedures, floor stripping, floor finishing and exterior policing.
3 Scrubs and strips to remove all soil and finish of base floor material using heavy (industrial-type) powered scrubbers and buffers.
4 Refinishes to a glossy appearance using appropriate sealers and polishes.
5 Removes spots from carpets and cleans.
6 Patches damaged carpet squares.
7 Removes stains and patches floor finishes.
8 Responsible for compliance with Training and Safety requirements as promulgated in the Corporate Operations Manual.
9 Moves and replaces furniture and equipment.
10 Capable of lifting 75lbs unassisted.
11 Ability to trouble shoot and perform basic maintenance on all custodial equipment.
12 Performs any combination of the following duties: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or polishing floors, hallways and stairs; dusting equipment, furniture or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimming; cleaning lavatories and restrooms.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a minimum of year(1) of specialized experience in cleaning office areas in the commercial environment. Must have knowledge of chemical/ cleaning solution usage and follow specifications. Specific knowledge of carpet cleaning, floor stripping and sealing is required. Capable of understanding and enforcing performance/equipment safety rules. U.S. citizenship or proof of lawful admission for permanent residence as evidenced by Form I-51 is required. Must be able to pass security clearance screening and DRUG screening.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: No less than high school graduate education; or up to twelve months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.'
