What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk/Truck Loader position at Meridian Products?
We are hiring for a Shipping Clerk/Truck Loader in our door plant. We work four ten hour days Mon-Thurs and overtime as needed Friday morning. Hours will be 2:00am-12:30pm. Negative pre-employment drug screen is required.
Truck loaders have 3 to 4 trucks everyday to load. They start with packing slips with quantities of customer product. They count and pull these pieces of product and stage them to be loaded on truck. One person hands product to anther person that is in back of the truck. Everything must be stacked level and customers are separated by blankets.
When each truck is finished both people check shelves/ carts to make sure nothing was missed. Loading trucks one person packages doors and has them run through shrink wrapper. the other person works on common carrier. Packing skids with product and sending to customer that does not go on our truck.
