Position: Vocational Direct Support Professional
Location: Hopkins, MN
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:30pm
Wage: $20/hr and a competitive benefit package

Job Summary:
As a Vocational Direct Support Professional, you will support our persons served with structured activities at the day program that include medication administration, personal cares and enrichment activities. Direct Support Professionals often accompany the people we serve out into the community on a regular basis to facilitate participation in a range of activities. These activities encourage personal choice, promote self-advocacy and help others to understand their capabilities. Additionally, staff will follow the person’s specific behavior plans and program goals to improve the quality of life for those we serve.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Have a passion for working with people
- Proficiency in spoken and written English communication
- Comfortable with personal cares for males and females
- Must be comfortable driving large passenger vans
- Have a vehicle with current car insurance
- Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy.
- Successful clearance from a DHS Background Study
- Prefer experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis
