Description

• Home Every Day
• CDL-A or CDL-B required. 
• Drivers operate side-load collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes to pick up solid waste from residential customers.
• Drivers are responsible for assisting employees with the collection and loading of residential waste materials, as well as the transporting of this waste to a landfill or disposal facility.
• Perform Pre and Post Trip inspections, and complete DVIR as set forth by Arrow procedures and D.O.T. guidelines.
• Perform different types light maintenance on assigned vehicles
• Conduct operations in a safe manner and in accordance with Arrow’s safety programs.
• Maintain and clean truck daily. Remove debris from cab. Wash exterior weekly.
• Other duties may be assigned and may vary by location.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position is located. Requires a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must comply with all Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
• Comply with Arrow’s drug free workplace policy.
• Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines and practices.
• Drivers must be able to read and understand a route map, complete daily driver logs as well as pre and post trip truck inspections.
• Ability to perform pushing, pulling, bending, lifting of up to 75 pounds throughout the shift with or without reasonable accommodations. As well as climb into and out of a truck without repeatedly.
• Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch and super visors, understand highway and traffic signals, and be able to make legible entries on paperwork.
