Job Description
Under the direction of the Latex Department Crew leader: (l) prepares the automated filling line for product dispensing into pails; (2) loads appropriate pails, lids and labels into the equipment per the packaging ticket (3) ensures product is Quality Control approved prior to dispensing; (4) verifies proper equipment operation; (5) operates batch code printer ensuring correct batch number is printed on every pail; (6) fills each pail to the proper level per the production scheduled on time; (7) manually labels pails and cartons, affixes batch codes and packages products using the manual latex line; (8) enter production data into the applicable daily report database.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Dispense products accurately into proper containers as scheduled end on time.
- Complete daily production requirements by following Latex Department production packaging schedule.
- Using the packaging ticket, conduct pre-packaging verification by confirming appropriate pails, lids, labels, cartons and batch codes prior to filling.
- Inspect and clean automated line fill heads after each batch, or as required.
- Ensure standard line flushing procedures are accomplished, as required'
- Accurately document quantities packaged.
- Ensure partial pallets in the warehouse are filled as the appropriate product is produced.
- After each batch, return unused packaging materials to their proper storage location-
- Document, on the packaging ticket, any damaged packaging materials prior to disposal.
- Add remix material into the mixers per Quality Control batch ticket instructions, as required.
- Keep automated equipment clean and free of adhesive.
- Perform specified 6ut.tt code printer operator maintenance on a daily basis.
- Keep assigned work area clean.
Housekeeping
Maintain a clean and safe work area, facility and equipment by following routine housekeeping standards.
- Cap or plug hose, plumbing fittings and pour heads when not in use.
- Equipment must be cleaned of adhesive after each batch.
- Clean up overfill situations immediately.
- Place scrap cardboard, shrink wrap and banding material in trash receptacles.
- Sweep and mop work areas as needed and at the end of each shift. Rinse mop heads and mop buckets and return to the proper storage area after each use.
- Return cleaning equipment to assigned area after each use.
- Maintain assigned hand tools free of adhesive.
Safety
Maintain a safe working environment by following the "safety Rules and
Guidelines" and the "Code of Safe Practices" as defined in the "Employee Safety
Handbook", and by Company policy.
Other Duties
- Participate in physical inventories and cycle counting.
- Contribute to team effort, i.e. assisting in any area required, etc.
Minimum Requirements
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or G.E.D preferred
- Current forklift certification training
- Valid state driver's license, with a good driving record
Skills
- Mechanical aptitude with practical application skills
- Speak and write English clearly and distinctly
- Perform with minimal supervision
- Perform basic mathematical skills
- Take direction and apply to the assigned task
- Possess basic computer skills
Physical Conditions
- Work performed is very physical in nature
- Routine bending, stooping, stair climbing and reaching required
- Lifting and carrying materials and supplies, typically weighting 50 pounds or more
- Manual dexterity is required to operate tools, machinery, forklifts and controls
Working Conditions
- Special safety requirements, when working in a plant environment may apply
- May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials
- May work in temperature and weather extremes

Pay: $18.00-$20.71 per hour $0.75 shift differential
Schedule: 3pm-1:30am M-TH
