Job Summary
This position is in charge of completing facility maintenance projects onsite, safety improvements, basic electrical and plumbing work. If projects require outsourcing contractors, work alongside plant management to seek quotes & fill out capital expenditure reports.
This position will also repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
Duties & Responsibilities
Includes the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Developing and performing a Preventative Maintenance program
- Building and facilities maintenance
- Equipment improvement projects and implementation
- Manage Capital Expenditures lifecycle, contractors onsite and ongoing Projects.
- Observes mechanical devices in operations, troubleshoot alongside operator
- Mixers, diaphragm pumps, electric pumps.
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove/repair defective parts.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines and other equipment.
- Repairs electrical equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
Information & Compensation & Benefits
Schedule: 1st Shift 7:00 am-4:00 pm M-F
Pay: This position has a salary range of $23.30 - $27.40 per hour. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location
Bonus Pay: HOURLY Meridian is actively participating in a productivity incentive plan for 2025. Eligible employees have the opportunity to earn up to $1,520 a year, with payments distributed quarterly throughout the year.
