SUMMARY
Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Under direct supervision, perform data entry including attendance, Public information Management System (PEIMS) data, and grades.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy according to established procedures.
- Prepare and print reports, including attendance reports, grades, class or personnel rosters, end-of-semester reports, or accounting reports.
- Maintain physical and computerized records, including student cumulative folders, progress reports, class rosters, grades, and schedule changes if applicable.
- Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folders, and entering student data into appropriate databases.
- Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
- Process and transmits request for student information and transcripts.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Call parents to verify student absences as needed.
- Assist in campus office as needed.
- Maintain computerized files using personal computer, including reports, employee roster, and mailing list.
- Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
- Greet and assist parents, teachers, staff and students.
- Monitor Guest Sign-in book/ visitor passes and send report to principals.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and other deliveries.
- Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework request.
- Assist with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc.
- Provide clerical assistance as needed.
- Supervise student aides assigned to the reception desk.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Superintendent.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent and one year clerical experience, preferably in a public education environment.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing. Proficient typing, keyboarding, file maintenance, and 10-key skills. Ability to meet established deadlines.
REASONING ABILITIES
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
