Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Case Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and advocacy for individuals particularly in areas related to prison re-entry. The Case Worker will work closely with various stakeholders, including families, social service agencies, and legal entities, to promote positive outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ needs and circumstances.
- Develop individualized service plans that address specific goals and objectives.
- Provide crisis intervention and management support to clients facing immediate challenges.
- Facilitate access to community resources, including childcare services, mental health support, and educational programs.
- Collaborate with child protective services to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
- Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in their decision-making processes.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress notes, and case documentation.
- Advocate for clients’ rights within the context of family law and social work practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in conflict management and crisis intervention.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong skills in crisis management and conflict resolution are essential.
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate case records.
