Merit Chevrolet is looking for a full-time Auto Body Technician to join our team! This position works alongside a team of experienced technicians, ensuring the paintwork and interiors are finished to our high standards, bringing out the best in every vehicle, which includes a brand new state-of-the-art paint booth.
Job description
Busy collision center that has an immediate opening for an Auto Body Technician.
- 3 years of verifiable collision repair experience as a body tech
- Ability to properly complete light to heavy repairs, replacement panels, aluminum repairs, including structural and frame work
- Attention to detail and good concentration / focus
- High production capabilities
- Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards
- Check parts against estimate and ensures parts are correct when received
- Notifies estimator of any additional repairs needed. Documents any additional parts and labor required to perform a satisfactory repair.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- I-Car certification is a plus.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged vehicles including body work and when to replace or repair parts. Benefits :
