What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Cashier - Part Time (Maplewood) position at Merit Chevrolet Co.?
This is a PART TIME opportunity on our team, 2-3 days a week 2:00pm-8:00pm and every other Saturday 8:30am-5:30pm.
This position will serve the Sales & Parts Departments and must be able to work independently on the weekends in our front office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate switchboard telephone system
- Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spend on hold
- Provide basic information to callers who have general inquires
- Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket.
- Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees
- Assist with filing & scanning needs of Sales paperwork & title documents
- Assist the Controller with various clerical duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite
- VERY well organized
- Ability to work effectively with customers, vendors and employees while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
