What are the responsibilities and job description for the Irrigation Technician position at Merit Landscape Solutions?
Merit Landscape Solutions is looking for individuals who have a thorough understanding of all aspects of irrigation systems including but not limited to: irrigation maintenance, trouble-shooting, repairs, and seasonal maintenance. In this position you will analyze and repair irrigation systems; manage watering schedules; perform irrigation activations and winterizations.
A great candidate will have:
- 1-3 years prior irrigation experience
- Irrigation technician license (preferred but not required)
- Ability to pass an MVR and a pre-employment drug test
- Authorization to work in the US
- Possesses a valid driver license
- Understands various irrigation controllers & related equipment and how to thoroughly complete and document an irrigation inspection
- Is able to handle the physical demands of our work including adverse weather conditions, heavy lifting (30-80 pounds), and extensive walking
- Is able to communicate effectively in English; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required
- Is dependable and punctual, self-motivated and willing to pitch in wherever help is needed
