Merit Resource Services is currently hiring a
MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
We are seeking a self motivated individual that is able to work independently. Applicant must have their own tools.
Under the supervision of the Business Manager this position will be responsible for the physical maintenance of buildings, properties and ensure basic safety for all staff and persons served.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for Hazardous Material Storage at each site and keep separate and secure storage of any toxic substances.
· Perform minor repairs and maintenance to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, hardware, TV, and safety systems.
· Responsible for doing repairs, remodeling and basic maintenance to buildings, structures, interior and exteriors in all offices.
· Vehicle repair recommendations.
· Perform minor carpentry repair and project work as may be directed.
· Responds to and prioritizes requests from staff for maintenance repairs.
· Responsible for some snow removal, lawn maintenance and landscaping duties.
· Janitorial and housekeeping on as needed basis.
· Other duties as delegated by the Administrative Team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 75 lbs. Knowledge of general maintenance, repairs, and construction.
Must be available to travel between location from Ellensburg to Pasco to work where needed. Must have a valid operators license, clean driving record and insurable on company insurance policy.
Must be at least 20 years old.
Educational/ Work Experience Requirements:
*High School graduate or equivalent
*Employment is contingent upon successful completing and passing a Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Washington State Patrol Background Check and a Reference Check.
