Manufacturing Shop Utility Person
1st Shift - Garden City - ( $18 to $19 Per Hour)
Job Description :
The Job entails performing a variety of tasks to support the overall production process within a Manufacturing Facility, including :
General Cleaning
Organizing
Basic Cleaning and Maintenance of Machinery
Material Handling
Material Packaging
Assisting Various Machine Operators - Stamping Press, CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Laser Cutter, Welder, etc.
Visual Parts Inspection
Cleaning and Deburring Parts Often requiring flexibility to switch between different duties as needed, while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.
This is an entry level position the requires Basic Shop Math Skills and Experience.
This individual will also from time to time help out in other areas of the company such as :
Operating a Press and helping out in the Sheet Metal Department
Being a delivery driver
Or anything else that the company may require
Additional Requirements :
Must have reliable transportation
Must be reliable and dependable
Must be a self-starter
Requires prolonged standing
Safety Shoes / Boots and Safety Glasses are required
Pay Rate :
18 to $19 Per Hour Wage Rate, based on Skill Level and Qualifications
Shift Schedules and Hours : First Shift :
Must be able to work 40 hours per week
Overtime when needed
Hours are from 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday
When working OT, we work until 5 : 30 pm
Saturdays are rare, but the hours are from 7 : 00 AM till 12 : 00 PM (5 hours)
Sundays are extremely rare and only as required and directed
Advance notice will be given whenever possible Note : This is intended to be a 6-Month, "Temp-To-Hire " Assignment, but this is Not guaranteed ... Candidate must perform at the required level and expectations to get hired, plus there must be sufficient work load to merit adding another Full Time In-house employee.
