Payroll Specialist, Chantilly, VA ($20-28 / hr)
Immediate need for a Payroll Specialist for a multibillion-dollar global leader. Hybrid role located in Reston, VA. 3-month Temp to Perm. The Payroll Specialist will assist with daily payroll functions and will be responsible for either Garnishments and Reporting or Union duties. This position will also be the backup for preparing and processing weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
Responsibilities :
- Process manual checks as required.
- Maintain payroll records, process approved payroll record changes.
- Answer and / or research payroll inquiries from employees and managers.
- Perform payroll reconciliations.
- Daily data entry of payroll information.
- Submit or approve Positive Pay file to bank for all daily manual checks issued
- Analyze and process payroll garnishments.
- Process garnishment refunds when required.
- Create weekly cash forecasting report.
- Run Accounting reports as requested.
