Job Summary:
The Quality technician will perform quality control checks on company products to ensure they meet required safety and quality standards. Merits Health Products is looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking quality technician with a good eye for detail. You will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our Merits products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality. You may also be required to identify areas for quality control improvement.
To ensure success as a quality technician, you should have a strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ultimately, a top-class quality technician can efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates.
Quality Technician Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining company inspection reports.
- Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
- Ensuring goods and products comply with company standards as well as FDA, Federal and State law.
- Reporting quality anomalies to the supervisor.
- Collating test data and drafting quality reports.
- Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
- Ensuring production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.
Quality Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0-2 years of experience as an Inspection or quality technician.
- Understanding of mathematical concepts.
- High-level of visual awareness.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience drafting reports and collating data.
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- 0-2 years’ experience
- Mechanical and electrical skills
- Knowledge of electronics
- Understanding of basic tools and their usage, i.e., screwdriver, wrench, pliers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient with Google Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Valid State of Florida Driver’s License
Physical demands & Working Environment:
- Work is performed in a call center, warehouse, and technical room environment
- Contact with internal and external customers and vendors
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, carry, climb, and lift 50lbs.
- May be exposed to heat and cold and adverse weather conditions
