We are currently seeking a Returns Technician for a full-time role, based out of our Fort Myers, FL HQ.
The Returns Technician is responsible for organizing and maintaining returned parts by ensuring that all products are accurately boxed, labeled, stored, and documented accordingly in the ERP system as well as all other aspects of daily order and returns processing. This position will also process the Return Authorization Materials as applicable and as per company processes and policies.
This an hourly position and pay rate will be based upon experience and skills. Excellent attendance and dependability are needed, and candidates must be willing to work flexible hours as deemed necessary by business needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate cross functionally to perform essential duties with respect and professionalism.
- Assist with receiving, inspection, documentation, and status of all returned products and parts.
- Process and document Return Authorization Materials and ensure requests are made to issue customer return credit and/or to return customer items should they not meet the company’s return criteria.
- Handle RMA requests and tickets for special and sample accounts as assigned.
- Contact Tech Support regarding returned items.
- Provide regular reporting of total returns. i.e. Daily returns log.
- Process returns to stock, assess, and/or apply fees, and document returns in ERP system with photos attached.
- Perform Level 1 testing of returned items.
- Return items to inventory or discard based upon technical inspections.
- Maintain all other guidelines and standards and report any issues to the direct Supervisor and/or senior management.
- Assist team members as needed.
- Pick parts for orders on an as needed basis.
- Assist with special returns (i.e. with R&D and Pilot).
- Assist logistics with shipping damaged claims.
- Collaborate and assist R&D with root causes and IPB issues.
- Maintain tool cart.
- Maintain OSHA Safety guidelines and other regulatory State and Federal standard as applicable to position.
- Maintain all other guidelines and standards and report any issues to the direct Supervisor and/or senior management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the department / work areas.
- Follow company safety policies and participate in Safety Training as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must abide by Company safety policies and participate in Safety Training as required.
- Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have an understanding of distribution operations and having mechanical/technical aptitude is needed.
- Must have proficiency with MS Office applications and ERP systems.
- Must have working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Must have manual dexterity, be in good physical condition and have good strength and balance for safety.
- Must have problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.
- Must be dependable with an excellent attendance record and have the willingness to work overtime, arrive early, and/or stay late as per business or project needs.
- Must speak, read, and write English and have very good communication skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
