What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator Surgical Scheduling position at Meritus Health?
Under the direction of the Surgery Center Business Manager is responsible for the comprehensive scheduling of procedures at the center and the participation in the procurement of the patients medical record information in a prompt and efficient manner consistent with the center's goals and objectives.
Education – High School Education
Experience – Previous medical office and computer experience preferred. Familiarity with current medical billing regulations for major insurance carriers preferred. At least one year previous scheduling experience or equivalent preferred.
Licensure/Certification – N/A
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Knowledge of Medical Terminology and human anatomy. Excellent verbal and oral communication skills; excellent typing and computer skills
